The Why: 2020 was a very interesting year. While in the midst of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, one of the protocols to maintain safety were to “mask-up”. However, Our Founder and CEO, Aniyah Johnson noticed that wearing masks, frequent handwashing, and constant sanitizing was wreaking havoc on her skin. Ms. Johnson tried many products to try and combat the problems that she experienced with her skin--to no avail. Using just one product alone did not give her the results that she was looking for, and layering multiple products caused breakouts, greasiness, and even sometimes allergic reactions to her skin. God gave Aniyah the vision to create my first product-which was the “Bare” Whipbody butter. The product worked amazingly for her. CEO Aniyah began to approach others including members of her family and friends, and they liked the results of this product. As she continued to perfect my formula, she began to wonder, “Who else may be suffering from the same types of skin problems that I have?” From there, Lily Kay’s was birthed.
